Sparta Pils
Van Steenberge
Pilsner – 5% ABV
Lagers owe their existence to the discovery, in the second half of the 19th century, of yeasts that were active at a cold temperature. Until then, one only knew the fermentation at high temperatures. The brewing process of these “Lager” beers was optimized in the Czech town PILZEN, hence the name PILS. The use of light coloured malts gives these beers a typical nice gold yellow colour. Lager is very thirst-quenching if drunk cold. In contrast to most lager beers, our Pils is not pasteurized. This ensures its authentic and exclusive taste, originating from stringent selection and control of the raw materials.
