Kolsch Ale – 4.3% ABV

Kentucky Kölsch® is a top-fermented ale, a classic style of beer originating in Cologne, Germany. According to German beer law, only beers brewed in Cologne can carry this illustrious title. Aside from our brewery’s Kentucky location, we are certain Kentucky Kölsch® lives up to these high beer standards. For years, Alltech master brewers have used their very own specialized yeast, which is the single greatest contributor to this remarkably flavorful and award-winning microbrew. Our master brewers’ recipe calls for imported pale malts and malted white wheat to create an exceptionally smooth fi­nish. Kentucky Kölsch® was renamed from Kentucky Light in Spring 2013 to more accurately reflect its beer style. The light-bodied, crisp ale is a German-style Kölsch ale, a classic style of beer originating from Cologne, Germany. With the increasing savvy of craft beer enthusiasts, the Kölsch descriptor is now better recognized and understood.
