Scotch Ale – 5% ABV – 24 IBU

Technically an 80 Shilling by alcohol content, this Scotch Ale is a lighter version of a Strong Scotch Ale. Deeply malty with subtle aromas of caramel and beech wood smoked malts. The flavor is rich and complex with malt character. There are hints of roasted malt, smoked malts, and some slight nutty character that persists through the finish. Overall the malty sweetness is balanced by the clean hop bitterness.
