Brewed w/ 100% Schlenkerla Oak smoke malt, versus the usual Beech wood that is ordinarily used by the brewery, it pours a beautiful amber color while offering a complex smokiness that is well-paired w/ the multi-faceted bitterness of the finest Hallertau aroma hops. It matures for months in the deep cellars of the brewery, underneath Bamberg, to provide a special treat for smoked beer lovers.
