Emelisse

Smoked – 6.5% ABV

Drying the malt is nowadays often in closed drums, but here and there, they still really light a fire in order to dry the malt above. Course gives the smoke its characteristic taste, known Bamberger Rauch Beers all with birch smoked flavor. Emelisse Rauchbier contains malt smoked over beech wood wet. This gives the beer its distinctive flavor, but not as strong as in the Bavarian Rauch Beers.
