If you were with us last year, you know that Barleywine Batch #1 is a traditional English-style barley wine cold conditioned for months and then aged in fresh American Oak barrels ~ rich and delectable. Barleywine Batch #2 offers a new twist on the original. Aged in French oak Cabernet Sauvignon barrels, this year's Barleywine gives off aromas of prune, molasses and wet oak. It hits the palate with more prunes, round maltiness and a bit of hops, with subtle hints of cabernet in the finish.
