Hoppy? Brother, 471 IPA redefines hoppy. 471 is a small batch, limited edition ale that was created by our Brewmaster to separate the weak from the strong. 471 is a double IPA, that combines Pale, Munich, Caramel-30, Carapils and Torrified Wheat malts, with Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe and Fuggles hops. It has a big sweet mouthfeel, followed by more hoppiness than you've ever had at one time. Enjoy.

Time to dust off your Lederhosen. Our fall seasonal combines the malty goodness of a German lager with the clean crispness of an American ale. Brewed with Munich malts and a delicate blend of Bavarian hops, it's a full-bodied treat with a nutty-sweet middle, a warming alcohol level and notes of toasted grains. A pre-winter winner.

Slides down easy. That's what makes our Avalanche amber ale such a treat. We blend pale and caramel malts — and just a kiss of bittering hops to create a refreshing-but-flavorful, anytime beer. If you were with us last year, you know that Barleywine Batch #1 is a traditional English-style barley wine cold conditioned for months and then aged in fresh American Oak barrels ~ rich and delectable. Barleywine Batch #2 offers a new twist on the original. Aged in French oak Cabernet Sauvignon barrels, this year's Barleywine gives off aromas of prune, molasses and wet oak. It hits the palate with more prunes, round maltiness and a bit of hops, with subtle hints of cabernet in the finish.

Warming malt notes at the onset with a hop kick in the back and opens up to a nice dry finish. Our small batch ESB is a big, strong traditional ale with characteristics that break tradition and a complexity that constantly surprises.

Using Full Pint malt, the slight fruitiness comes from organic mango and mosaic hops added I’m the kettle.

Dark in character. Not in spirit. It's a bold, smooth-bodied concoction that oozes dark-roasted coffee aromas and flavors of espresso and semi-sweet chocolate. We round out these heady pleasures with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy body and a semi-dry finish. Unforgettable.

Subtle hints of citrus round out the complex aroma of Mosaic hops, for a beer so drinkable, it’ll last through multiple acts.

Today, we are honored to have Robbie O'Cain, Brewmaster at Starr Hill Brewery in Crozet, VA, here with us! Brewing with our own Bob Harrington and Matt Barnes, the team is carefully executing a special Chocolate Oatmeal Stout that the two breweries formulated together. Robbie shipped ahead malt and barley used in Dark Starr, Little Red RooStarr, and other great Starr Hill stouts, and he carried with him locally sourced Virginia oats. Breckenridge Brewery threw in 200 pounds of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory (of Durango, CO) dark chocolate to round out the 50 bbl brew. With inspiration from the snowstorm outside while they brew, they've just named this indulgent beer, "Snow your Oats." Snow Your Oats, and MadTree collaboration, Saison Ridge (brewed here just weeks ago), will debut at Collaboration Fest in Denver at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on March 21st. This event kicks off Colorado Craft Beer Week, so look for both of these very special collaboration beers around Denver in key accounts.

Summer Pils is a Bohemian style Pilsner featuring Saaz hops grown in the Czech Republic and American malts grown in the Pacific Northwest. Using traditional pilsner brewing practices, we ensure a delicately balanced beer with a soft, rounded mouthfeel. Saab hops impart a pleasant aroma that's earthy and floral while lending spicy flavor characteristics and a crisp, dry finish. The end result is a light yet complex, will-balanced and refreshing summertime

A brew well built. This extra special brew was well built intentionally. In team effort with our neighbors and Colorado's own, Stranahan's Whiskey Distillery, we combined the warming malt notes and pronounced hop characteristics of our Small Batch ESB with their ambrosial whiskey flavors to create the first ever collaboration of its kind. Aged for 6 months in Well Built Oak Whiskey Barrels.

Reward yourself for a job well done with Work. This collaborative beer with WORK Labs began in 1999 as a partnership with Main Street Brewing in Richmond VA as an end of shift beer “for a job well done.” This time, WORK Labs enlisted Breckenridge and Champion Brewing to create a medium-bodied Dunkel Weiss with aromas of peach and tropical fruit. A small batch of 10 kegs was produced, and will be available at select establishments in Richmond and Charlottesville VA
