Oatmeal Stout – 6.2% ABV

Today, we are honored to have Robbie O'Cain, Brewmaster at Starr Hill Brewery in Crozet, VA, here with us! Brewing with our own Bob Harrington and Matt Barnes, the team is carefully executing a special Chocolate Oatmeal Stout that the two breweries formulated together. Robbie shipped ahead malt and barley used in Dark Starr, Little Red RooStarr, and other great Starr Hill stouts, and he carried with him locally sourced Virginia oats. Breckenridge Brewery threw in 200 pounds of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory (of Durango, CO) dark chocolate to round out the 50 bbl brew. With inspiration from the snowstorm outside while they brew, they've just named this indulgent beer, "Snow your Oats." Snow Your Oats, and MadTree collaboration, Saison Ridge (brewed here just weeks ago), will debut at Collaboration Fest in Denver at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on March 21st. This event kicks off Colorado Craft Beer Week, so look for both of these very special collaboration beers around Denver in key accounts.
