Our inaugural Epic Elixir is Braggot, a most remarkable honey ale, made with specialty malt and an extraordinary 600 pounds of wildflower honey from Vermont’s Champlain Valley. All this honey adds smoothness with subtle hints of chamomile. Braggot is an ale of shining perfection that simply must be experienced to be understood. But hurry ... for Braggot, as with each entry in our Humdinger series, will vanish almost as soon as it arrives.

The signal we seek to send with our new Smoked Porter, Burn Pile, is this: It's delicious. Six malts, ranging in roast from dark to darker, are used in its brewing, offering an aroma of caramel and chocolate with a subtle, complimentary smokiness. Burn Pile is brewed with the goal of gathering kindred spirits seeking warmth, flavor and a small-batch craft beer.

Dream Machine, an India Pale Lager or IPL, is a melding of varied visions of an India Pale Ale and an Amber Lager. Once poured, its light copper color delights the eyes and a citrusy hop aroma flows through the nose. Upon first sip, a smooth hop bitterness reveals itself - fresh, bold and slightly spicy - before subtle hints of mild maltiness appear. A big hop bite and a crisp, clean lager finish combine for a beautifully balanced beer. Take Dream Machine for a spin and let your reverie begin.

A golden haze for a summer's daze. Elder Betty is a weiss-style ale with a bready malt flavor balanced by a touch of hops and complimented by the tart berry flavors of elderberry.

A genre-blending mix of an American wheat beer and a traditional India Pale Ale. Encore is hopped and dry-hopped with Simcoe and Amarillo hops, and has a pleasant grapefruit aroma that compliments its subtly sweet malty backbone. Grab a lighter and get up front!

Fat Angel, rest his soul, had a complex palate that balances the rich pleasures of malt with the crisp refreshing flavor of hops with a finish that is fresh and clean. Eminently drinkable, Fat Angel brought divergent tastes together to create a satisfyingly smooth harmony.

High in the hills of mountains white with winter, in the settled snow, there is a sudden shift. As bitter winds begin to blow, the packed Graupel moves mysteriously and creates a cascading avalanche of sound and change. Revealed are stalks of wheat harvested for a warming Wheat Wine. Apollo and Simcoe hops help to create a big-bodied beer – malty up front with a nice hop bite in back – and a 10.8% ABV that will thaw the coldest of souls. Behold Graupel, born of avalanche, brewed of wheat and imbibed below the swirling stars of the universe at large.

HI.P.A. begins and ends with big, bountiful bites of hops, hops and more hops while maintaining the barest hint of a malty middle in the mouth.

Filled with the howling of black dogs that haunt the long forgotten shadows of the human soul. Our inky-black stout had a smooth, round palate with a dreamlike undercurrent of bittersweet chocolate. This dense liquid-silk summoned hope from hibernation and balanced winter’s endless white snows with a rich swirl of creamy black rapture.

Hex is a malty amber ale offering hints of toffee and caramel with its slightly smoky finish.

A completely unique experiment in brewing, Rousing Root is a crisp, medium-bodied lager that digs down deep and offers a refined maltiness with hints of sweet potatoes, sourced from Burnt Rock Farm in Huntington, Vermont. Hallertaur and Northern Brewer hops round out the brew, giving it a pleasant floral and spicy finish.

The call from fall. Wilhelm Scream is ripe with fall flavors of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and caramel malts. Medium-bodied and the color of orange setting suns, it finishes similar to the way we finish summer: with just a hint of bitterness.
