In fact if you are reading this you probably attended college and should just put this beer back on the shelf for a real man to buy. 110K+OT varies from year to year, but will always be a brash style-bending brew that pairs well with sweat, clenched knuckles and over the top bravado.

110K+ OT Batch #2 is an Imperial Stout dry hopped with Mt. Rainier hops and aged on toasted Spanish Cedar. I.R.I.S. stands for India Russian Imperial Stout and while this brew is still all stout right down to its hefty body, it is hopped a great deal more than our standard stout offerings. The extra punch of kettle hops balances the rich chocolate and malt notes and the Mt. Rainier dry hopping adds slight licorice notes while the cedar contributes to a moderately spicy, burnt and bitter finish.

Torcedores Series Ben Romano’s India Pale Lager.

Big Sound Scotch Ale is dedicated to our good buddy Gino, the most Punk Rock Bagpiper you will ever meet, and the rest of the men and women of the Tampa Bay Pipes and Drums. Brown in color, Big Sound has huge notes of dark sweet toffee with underlying mild notes of coffee in the aroma. The flavor starts with a slight note of cherry and then opens into a goliath of malt character with notes of dark sweet toffee, coffee and mild notes of toasted bread in the finish. Big Sound Scotch Ale pairs well with Haggis, Highland Games, Huge Heads, Enormous pillows and of course Bagpipe Music.

This Double Nut Brown Ale is brewed in honor of the popular Bolita games played in Ybor City, FL. Bolita means little ball, but the profits from the often rigged games were anything but little. A player would pick a number and hope that his bolita came up, while the game operator would employ a variety of tricks to ensure it didn't. There are no tricks in this brew though, just a high gravity brown ale redolent with caramel and toffee like malts and a long nutty finish. Pars well with Baklava, wild game and medium body cigars.

Bold, strong and dark, traditional caffe americano is made by adding water to espresso. Bold, strong and dark, Cigar City Brewing’s Caffe Americano is made by adding vanilla and Tampa-roasted espresso beans to a formidable Double Stout base.

Capricho Oscuro consists of a carefully planned blend of the following brews: Zhukov’s Imperial Stout aged on toasted cedar, regular Zhukov’s Imperial Stout, our imperial strength Double Nut Brown Ale, our Puppy’s Breath Porter and a smoky kiss of our 110K+OT series Der Rauch Gott.

This rich brown ale is redolent with Cuban-style roasted espresso beans, sweet caramel and toffee and hints of dry nuttiness. Cuban Espresso is a popular drink in the Cigar City of Tampa owing to its many Sicilian and Cuban immigrants. The beans for Cubano-Style Espresso Brown Ale are roasted locally by Mazzaro's Italian Market and Deli in St. Petersburg to our exact specifications.

Brewed with Richmond, Virginia’s thrash metal kings Municipal Waste, Divine Blasphemer combines the sacred art of brewing with Waste’s profane attitude to create a crossover masterpiece. This Porter is smokey and roasty yet balanced and approachable, making it the perfect beer for the saintly and the satanic alike.

Just as handsome designs printed on fancy papers and applied to cigar boxes are used to entice cigar lovers, we use Strata, Sabro, and Idaho 7 hops to draw in lovers of fruit-forward Hazy IPAs.

Legend has it that when a pumpkin comes into the world it is possessed by either a good or an evil spirit. Ours got all the good baby! Bursting with real pumpkin flavor and yummy pumpkin spices including Ceylon cinnamon, Jamaican all-spice, Zanzibar cloves and nutmeg, Good Gourd is a celebration of Fall and that spookiest of holidays, Halloween. Pair Good Gourd with pumpkin soup, pumpkin pie and costume parties.

One of Tampa's nicknames in addition to the Cigar City is the Big Guava. It earned the moniker from local newspaper columnist Steve Otto in the 1970's. The nickname eventually gave rise to one of Ybor City's most popular annual events, Guavaween. We brew Guava Grove in tribute to Tampa's fruity nickname. Guava Grove is brewed with a French strain of Saison yeast and sees a secondary fermentation on pink guava puree. Slightly tart with a dry finish this is a refined beer that is perfect for sharing. Pairs well with a wide variety of cheeses, seafood and light fruit salads.

Traditional throughout Latin America, the guayabera shirt combines style, functionality, form and tradition in it’s four-pocketed design. We at Cigar City feel the same reverence and appreciation for the guayabera that we do for the Citra hop varietal, an ingredient that imparts notes of tangerine, lime and berries to this traditional American Pale Ale. The exclusive use of Citra hops in this beer creates a flavor that’s at once unique and recognizable, while it’s dry, crisp character and moderate alcohol make it as refreshing and functional as a crisp linen guayabera. Bright berry, lime leaf and tangerine aromas and flavors imparted by our exclusive use of Citra hops are deftly balanced by an assertive bitterness and moderate breadiness from a simple malt bill. Infinitely quaffable but worthy of careful consideration.

Dry Irish Stout

A tropical IPA dry-hopped on the high seas with one of our favorite hops: Ahtanum.

Why so punny? “Helles” is German for “light colored.” Hotter Than Helles is more than just a (very) silly pun; it perfectly reflects the nature of this beer. A lager meant to be consumed when it’s truly hotter than helles outside. So there are no peppers or spices in this beer!

Each beer in the Humidor Series is aged on Spanish cedar (cedrela), the same wood used to make cigar boxes. The Spanish cedar imparts notes of white pepper, sandalwood and other spices. Our flagship beer in the Humidor Series is Humidor Series India Pale Ale. We start with Jai Alai IPA as a base beer and add the cedar during secondary fermentation. The cedar provides a perfect balance with the assertive hops of Jai Alai to create an entirely new experience. We produce Humidor Series India Pale Ale year round, and keep an eye out for other Humidor Series beers in our tasting room and limited bottling runs.

In Mayan myth, Hunahpu gave cocoa to the Mayans. An Imperial Stout Aged On Cacao Nibs, Madagascar Vanilla Beans, Ancho Chilis, Pasilla Chilis and Cinnamon. We celebrate the release of Hunahpu's by hosting Hunahpu's Day the second weekend of every March. In addition to the release of Hunahpu's we feature live music, food vendors, incredible guest taps and many of our own special beers for all to try as well. It's becoming a hell of an event, and promises to only get better.

What you have here is an Oatmeal Rye India-style Brown Ale. Now you might be thinking oatmeal, rye, brown ale, India-style; isn’t that a lot to be going on in just one beer? Well yes, it is. But that is the point. Layers. Flavor elements building on and playing off of preceding elements, like a building wave; a growing crescendum of taste bud temptation; a wall of sound expressed through flavor and channeled toward your mouth. This beer isn’t for everyone. In many ways it is more than just a little weird. It certainly doesn’t fit easily into any category. It isn’t a brown ale, not just a brown ale anyway. It certainly isn’t an IPA. Calling it a rye beer would be selling it way short. In the spirit of all great things that are conceived in the moment, but perfected through passionate repetition it started life as an improvisation and grew from there. And it might not be for you. But if the thought of big spicy rye notes, a wallop of a hop punch, multitudinous layers of caramel, sweet malt and a respectable balancing gravity sound intriguing then you might want to wing it and give Improv a try.

A very hoppy, juicy citrus American Pale Ale.

Jai Alai, a game native to the Basque region of Spain, is played on a court called a fronton. Jai Alai players attempt to catch a ball using a curved mitt whilst the ball travels at speeds up to 188mph! Proving they have a sense of humor the Spanish dubbed this game, with its ball traveling at racecar speeds, “the merry game.” Tampa was once home to a bustling Jai Alai fronton but sadly all that remains of Jai Alai in the Tampa Bay area is this India Pale Ale that we brew in tribute to the merry game. The India Pale Ale style of beer has its roots in the ales sent from England to thirsty British troops in India during the 18th century. Pair Jai Alai India Pale Ale with Beef Empanadas, Deviled Crabs and other spicy dishes.

This is an American White Oak-aged version of Jai Alai India Pale Ale. The white oak adds smoothing notes of vanilla and slight hints of dill to the aroma and flavor profile. The finish is elegantly dry due to the light tannin notes from oak aging and though still loaded with hop flavor, hop bitterness is more restrained.

José Martí was a pivotal figure in Cuban history leading an insurrection that ultimately resulted in Cuban Independence from Spain and was revered by Tampa cigar rollers for his support of cigar factory workers and his fiery speeches in Tampa in support of Cuban Independence. This is a heavily hopped high gravity porter featuring the hopping levels of an India Pale Ale with the rich and roasty malt profile of a robust porter. Heavy hop rates, while uncommon in today's porters were not unknown historically and recipes from the British porter producers of the 1800's evidence hopping rates far in excess of what is common for the style today.

This special batch of GWAR BEER was brewed exclusively for the 5th Annual GWAR B-Q in Richmond, Virginia by Cigar City Brewing from Tampa, Florida. Food, Fun, Babes, Sun! Life’s not like that. GWAR BEER, when life gets a little too real. A light, crushable pale ale brewed with an obnoxious amount of hops. In fact, we used 7 different hop varieties which gives the beer enough hop flavor to blow your head off into a few thousand pieces.

Inspired by traditional German lagers, our Tampa-style Lager is brewed with German malted barley, Hallertauer hops and an authentic Bavarian lager yeast. We combine these ingredients to create a style that’s quite unique to our hometown of Tampa, Florida but will find admirers wherever a crisp, dry and flavorful lager is called for. Familiar to generations, it’s truly a beer that’s made for drinkin’.

Maduro is a Northern English-style brown ale with some American affectations. Maduro is higher in alcohol than the common English brown ale and features flaked oats in the malt bill which imparts a silky body and works to mesh the roasted, toasted and chocolate components together in Maduro's complex malt profile. The end result is a remarkably full-flavored yet approachable and sessionable brown ale that pairs well with mild to medium cigars.

This Russian Imperial Stout is dedicated to Georgy Zhukov, arguably one of the finest generals of World War II. Opaque black in color, with notes of espresso, chocolate, dark toffee and hints of backstrap molasses. The English hop varietals provide a subtle herbal dryness, and finishes with a hearty slap of roasty espresso. Pair Marshal Zhukov’s with Mushroom Solyanka, dark chocolate, cherries and ground wars in Russia. We brew and release Zhukov's in the summer knowing that a beer of this heft reaches its full potential a few months after release. So save a bottle for the cold winter!

Patio Pils is a pre-prohibition recipe lager with a modern twist. We improve on the traditional recipe made popular by German immigrants to the US during the mid 1800’s, by replacing six-row barley and cluster hops with premium two-row pilsner malt and noble hop varietals. These improvements yield a lager which expertly balances malt sweetness with hop bitterness. As in the classic pre-prohibition recipes we add flaked maize, which imparts delightful fresh corn notes.

Patio Pils is an exceptional warm weather beer that stays true to its craft beer roots, bringing massive flavor concentration and generous hop aroma and taste to every sip.

Torcedores Series Sean’s Hoppy Session Ale

Cigar City Brewing's official celebration of Christmas. A rich-bodied brown ale forms the stage for holiday flavors which dance a festive ballet highlighted by pirouetting leaps of Christmas inspired spices. Cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, rose hips and chamomile compliment the subtle chocolate and light coffee notes of the malt and the addition of roasted carob and chicory complete the performance. Brewed once a year to celebrate the Christmas season. Pair with fresh cracked nuts, fruit cake and share with friends and family. Merry Christmas from the CCB family!

The Milkmaid displays a copper to amber color, surprising and delighting your olfactory senses and tastebuds with the unmistakable roasted and chocolate notes of a stout. Cocoa nibs from Ghana and Ecuador impart hints of espresso and roast, while a unique combination of hop varieties adds layers of dark chocolate and licorice.

The Tocobaga lived off the bounty of Tampa Bay hundreds of years before the arrival of the Spanish in the 1500’s. They were potters, tool makers and the only Florida natives to grow maize. The large platform mounds they built are still with us today, with one of the largest found near Old Tampa Bay in Safety Harbor, Florida.
