We brewed it with the help of our friends at the Rappahannock Regional Library as part of their exploring hobbies project. Our partnership has grown and now the library hosts a book club monthly at the brewery. Whether you’re snuggling up with a good book, or sipping at book group, there’s an Adventure in every glass.

This sweet milk stout was boiled extra long to create nice caramel tones. It finishes sweet with caramel and slight chocolate notes.

Who remembers getting the chocolate orange for Christmas? We took our Backpack Wheat and added cocoa nibs and orange peels for this experimental beer.

An interesting update to plain old IPAs, Expedition IPA calls forth a blend of citrus and white wine hop flavors that temper a clean lightly malted grain background. Certain to satisfy the long time IPA lover, this beer avoids the hop punch associated with many IPAs.

In Falmouth, Virginia, the fall line of the Rappahannock River, 18th Century Fredericksburg brewers used generous amounts of American grain and a modest amount of American hops. We do too. This results in a nice, clean aroma. The flavor is malty upfront, followed by big, crisp citrusy hops. A nice toasty malt backbone stands up well to the hops

Bold and roasty Irish Extra Stout

Session IPA brewed with an experimental “Lemon Drop” hop gives this a citrus flavor as well as a pine flavor of a more traditional west coast IPA.

A delicious and recognizable red ale flavor that finishes with a bright bitter that lingers as it delivers hints of cascade hop flavors. With a medium red color, and 6.6% ABV Red IPA is a full flavored, thirst quenching and ultimately an enjoyable beer from start to finish.
