| Dead Rise | | Flying Dog Frederick, MD | Summer Ale 5.6% ABV | The name Dead Rise comes from deadrise boats, which are commercial fishing and crabbing vessels designed and built specifically to navigate the unique waterways of the Chesapeake Bay. The 5.6 percent alcohol beer brewed with Northern Brewer, CTZ and Cascade hops uses acidulated, rye and malted white wheat malts. These ingredients certainly weren’t chosen at random. The recipe building process for Dead Rise took six months.
Flying Dog brewers teamed up with OLD BAY spice experts to create a recipe that would “highlight the indelible character of OLD BAY through bright and refreshing citrus hop character and a crisp, tart finish.
