Bauern BockThe Olde Mecklenburg Brewery
Charlotte, NC
Doppelbock
7.5% ABV30 IBU
Even though it’s that time of year, there’s no need to thank us for this Bauern Bock. At OMB, brewing fresh, delicious beer is just what we do. This holiday “Farmer’s Bock” is a rich, malty, German style doppelbock lager with a deep amber color that goes with the season. It’s also one of our “biggest” beers. We hope you enjoy this fresh holiday favorite and we’d like to thank you for supporting OMB.
Capt JackThe Olde Mecklenburg Brewery
Charlotte, NC
Pilsner
4.9% ABV27 IBU
We created this crisp, smooth pilsner as a salute to the courage and vision of Captain James Jack and the members of the Mecklenburg Convention, who on May 20, 1775 signed the first declaration of independence in America! This straw-colored lager captures their rebellious spirit with a subtly assertive hoppiness that complements the beer’s malty backbone. Enjoy the unmistakable taste of freedom in every fresh, delicious swig.
CopperThe Olde Mecklenburg Brewery
Charlotte, NC
Amber Ale
4.8% ABV31 IBU
OMB Copper is an authentic Düsseldorf style “Altbier.” Alt means “old” in German, as in “old school.” So there are no crazy flavors or gimmicks with Copper — it’s just an amazingly fresh, easy-drinking beer that tastes like beer. We use expensive (but worth it) Bavarian hops and brew in strict accordance with the “Reinheitsgebot” German beer purity law to guarantee it. Once you drink this lagered ale, you’ll know why it’s the beer that put OMB on the beer-drinking map.
DunkelThe Olde Mecklenburg Brewery
Charlotte, NC
Dunkel
4.9% ABV28 IBU
Winter has met its match in the form of this classic Munich-style dark lager. Smooth, with caramel and roasted malt flavors courtesy of Dark Munich and Carafa malts, Dunkel offers an easy-drinking finish to even the coldest, darkest days of winter. It may be freezing outside, but the conditions inside this bottle of Dunkel are always absolutely perfect. Enjoy it all winter long.
Fat Boy Baltic PorterThe Olde Mecklenburg Brewery
Charlotte, NC
Baltic Porter
8% ABV30 IBU
When it comes to making fresh, flavorful beer, we say go big or go home. That’s why we created Fat Boy, OMB’s “biggest” beer. But as rich and bold as Fat Boy is, it also nimbly covers a lot of tasty ground, blending sweet, malty notes of caramel, toffee, and chocolate with subtle hints of prunes and raisins. Fat Boy is a big, bold, and bountiful premium craft beer. There’s just no getting around it.
Früh BockThe Olde Mecklenburg Brewery
Charlotte, NC
Bock
6% ABV28 IBU
In German, Früh means “early,” but it’s also short for Frühling, which means spring. Our seasonal “Spring Bock” captures the promise of warmer days ahead, combining a slight malty sweetness with a refreshing touch of citrus aroma from its noble Bavarian hops. The result is an amazingly fresh, crisp beer that masks a higher alcohol content in its smooth character. There’s no better way to greet a fresh spring day than with spring’s freshest beer: Früh Bock from OMB.
Hornet’s NestThe Olde Mecklenburg Brewery
Charlotte, NC
Hefeweizen
5.4% ABV14 IBU
At OMB, we love our local history almost as much as we enjoy brewing our premium local beer. While most people think Hornet’s Nest is an ode to Charlotte’s basketball team, it’s actually the nickname England’s General Cornwallis gave Charlotte when he met more resistance here than anticipated during the Revolutionary War. So why did we choose this opaque, subtly sweet Hefeweizen as Charlotte’s tribute beer Because it’s awesome! Otherwise, it wouldn’t be much of a tribute.
MecktoberfestThe Olde Mecklenburg Brewery
Charlotte, NC
Marzen
5.4% ABV24 IBU
For discerning beer drinkers, Oktoberfest is kind of a big deal (just like the Grand Canyon is kind of a big ditch). That’s why we celebrate this wonderful time of year with our seasonal Mecktoberfest. This Märzen-style amber lager is the original Oktoberfest Bier: rich, malty and super smooth. Courtesy of Munich malt, noble hops and a yeast strain from the oldest brewery in the world. It’s beer season! Celebrate with the season’s freshest, most authentic beer.
Southside WeissThe Olde Mecklenburg Brewery
Charlotte, NC
Wheat Ale
5.4% ABV16 IBU
If you enjoy a good wheat beer, why are you settling for just “good”? Southside Weiss is an unfiltered wheat ale that’s smooth, fresh and fantastic. Citrus notes courtesy of the noble “Mandarina Bavaria” hop complement its subtle, wheat-inspired sweetness. The result is an easy-drinking ale with a crisp, clean finish. Why settle for a good wheat beer when you can have a Southside Weiss?
Yule BockThe Olde Mecklenburg Brewery
Charlotte, NC
Christmas Ale
7% ABV30 IBU
This holiday delight is an authentic “Weihnachtsbock” (Christmas Bock), which is not only a real German word, but is also a really fantastic traditional German holiday beer style. Premium European barley malts and noble hops give this bock lager its rich amber color and smooth malty character. A perfect beer for when the weather turns cold and spirits turn warm. If you’re looking to add some happy to your holidays, well, you’re looking at it: Yule Bock.
