Belgian Tripel
9.7% ABV18 IBU
Our Beer Engineers, along with the four guest brewers who won our golden #TicketToRide contest, brewed this Belgian style Tripel specifically for our one year anniversary. Light in both color and body, our Anniversary Atmosphera Belgian Tripel boasts complex fruit and spice flavors derived from our unique Belgian yeast strain. Look forward to a delightfully tart and refreshing hint of lemon zest, supported by a soft pilsner malt backbone and a warming alcoholic finish
Belgian DubbelSugar Creek Brewing Company

Belgian Dubbel
7.6% ABV22 IBU
Complex, mysterious and deceivingly dangerous, our Belgian Dubbel is both easy-drinking and full of character. Inspired by one of our favorite recipes, this craft beer will keep you guessing with an interplay of flavors: plum, raisin, spice, banana, clove, chocolate, brown sugar, and cherry can all be found in a single tasting! A hint of earthy spiciness with a sweet lingering caramel tone precedes a pleasantly warm alcoholic finish. By far our most expensive beer to create, our Dubbel pushes the limits of our lauter tun’s capabilities and delivers a beer worthy of the famed Trappist monasteries that originated the style.

Pilsner
5% ABV40 IBU
Based on one of the world’s most popular styles, our Belgian Pilsner is an ode to the great beers of Pilsen (Plzeň), Bohemia in the Czech Republic. The only lager in our lineup, this beer is exceptionally delicate, brewed using a traditional decoction mash with a single-ingredient grist of the finest Belgian Pilsner malt available. The result is a gleaming, golden-colored beer with a mellow yet full-flavored malt body. We hop the beer with generous amounts of Czech Saaz hops, a world class “noble” hop indigenous to the Czech Republic, creating a crisp, refreshing, and balanced beer with hints of Saaz spice. A great pilsner is truly a masterpiece of brewing where the simplest of ingredients are combined into a showcase of purity. Served in an elegantly tall and slender glass to highlight color and clarity, there is a reason why this beer style has endured as a favorite the world over. Taste it yourself and rediscover a classic.

Bière de Garde
6.8% ABV20 IBU
Name literally means, “Beer which has been kept or lagered.” No expense was spared in recreating this traditional artisanal ale from Northern France. To recreate this regional specialty, we imported all of the ingredients from the countries that birthed the style. The end result is a malt-forward amber with deep hints of caramel and candied apple. Eight different specialty malts come together to yield a magnificently complex malt profile. The French Strisselspalt hops used for aroma create a mildly spicy and floral bouquet. The unique yeast strain combined with warm fermentation and an extended cold-conditioning period produce a smooth and drinkable ale reminiscent of a lager but with full flavored ale fruitiness.

Belgian Pale
5.4% ABV20 IBU
A “Father’s Beer” traditionally brewed in Belgian Monasteries for every day consumption. Our interpretation is an easy drinking amber ale with soft, earthy and floral noble hop notes, followed by a hint of caramel sweetness. Dry to the taste with some mild fruit undertones and a distinctly spicy Belgian character developed from fermenting this craft beer with a second generation of yeast harvested from our Dubbel.
Mocha Java PorterSugar Creek Brewing Company

Porter
5.2% ABV16 IBU
You’ve been patiently waiting, and finally, your fall favorite is back! The Sugar Creek Mocha Java Porter perfectly embodies the fall season by blending all of the flavors of our rich and easy drinking Porter with a locally sourced, 100% organic, fair trade coffee. Our beer engineers hand selected the brew and blend using ten of their favorite coffees and a double blind taste test. In this limited taproom-only bottle release, the hops take a back seat by adding some delicate floral notes and our blend of four malts and locally roasted, cold brewed coffee take the spotlight. The end result is an exceptionally smooth and drinkable beer with some mild dark fruit flavors, hints of roasted malt nuttiness and a bittersweet dark chocolate coffee finish.
Muscadine White Ale Aged in Cabernet Sauvignon BarrelsSugar Creek Brewing Company

White Ale
5.4% ABV
A new beer for the New Year! On New Year’s Eve Sugar Creek Brewing Company will be releasing a small batch brew in the tap room, a Muscadine White Ale aged in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels. The aroma delivers the distinctive sweetness of a perfectly ripe Muscadine grape while the beer serves up an incredible flavor produced by the union of the Sugar Creek White Ale, the Muscadine grapes and the process of aging this beer in Cabernet Sauvignon French Oak barrels. For the Sugar Creek Muscadine White Ale, our beer engineers traveled back to the 7th century, deep into the Low Country where modern day Belgium resides and Oak trees were considered magical, life giving and medicinal trees. The Sugar Creek Muscadine White Ale combines the ancient mysticism surrounding the French Oak in Belgian folklore with locally harvested Scuppernong Muscadine grapes. Our beer engineers chose Muscadine grapes because they are the North Carolina state fruit and the grapes come from the oldest Muscadine vine in North America, located in North Carolina. Muscadine grapes are one of nature’s richest sources of polyphenolic antioxidants, which help protect the body from damaging effects of oxygen free radicals, which can contribute to degenerative diseases. It is our hope that this beer will bring good health and happiness to all who drink it. So enjoy shamelessly and cheers to a New Year!

Porter
5.7% ABV18 IBU
Deliberately delicious, this beer is the perfect companion to a Fall Carolina day. Four different malts combine with an understated hop character to produce notes of chocolate, coffee, caramel and a light sweetness which permeates the beer. Like its cousin the stout, the porter is full of rich, roasted malt flavors yet has a lighter body and balanced bitterness which gives this style its wide appeal. Moderately carbonated with a clean and bittersweet finish, this craft beer goes down smoothly and won’t fill you up, so feel free to have a few.

4.4% ABV15 IBU
The Sugar Creek Raspberry White Ale or, Witbier, is our raspberry interpretation of a traditional 14th Century recipe inspired directly by Pierre Celis and his original efforts to resurrect the beloved Witbier style. This beer is an unfiltered Witbier or “White Beer” to the Flemish-speaking Belgians because of its opaque, white appearance. It measures 4.4% ABV and is a wonderfully refreshing, easy drinking beer enjoyed throughout the year. Its grain bill includes nearly 50% unmalted wheat and oats while it is very lightly spiced with Coriander, Orange Peel, and all natural raspberries. The yeast in this recipe was cultured from the original strain near the town of Hoegaarden in Belgium and adds a pleasant fruitiness during fermentation. Order one today and taste the clean and subtle tartness from the raspberries for yourself!

SaisonSugar Creek Brewing Company

Saison
6.6% ABV25 IBU
A traditional farmhouse ale that dates back to the origin of agriculture in Southern Belgium, this style was brewed by farmers to nourish their seasonal workers – known as Saisonniers – during the grueling work of the season’s harvest. A fairly strong beer with an ABV of 6.6%, Saison’s were traditionally brewed in the winter strong enough to preserve them for the following year’s harvest but light enough to quench the farmhands’ thirst. Our rendition of this craft beer will transport you back in time, where you’ll be greeted with an array of distinctly Belgian flavors. Notes of spice, clove and banana wonderfully combine in this beer with a light toastiness from its traditional Belgian Malt, finishing with a tart and dry refreshing finish.

Sugar Creek XVSugar Creek Brewing Company

Barrel Aged
15% ABV342 IBU
Sugar Creek XV is a masterpiece of brewing ingenuity; a beer that was meticulously designed and engineered to deliver the most flavor and ABV allowed by law. We aged XV for over a year in American Oak Tennessee Sorghum Whiskey barrels, which created a monster beer of 15% ABV with 342 IBUs that finishes smooth and rich without a hint of bitterness. XV is brewed with three distinct Belgian malts and four varieties of American hops, producing flavors of oak, warming alcohol and whiskey balanced by a lush caramel and dark fruit sweetness. The extended barrel aging process contributes complexity to the brew while rounding the edges with delightfully subtle flavors of raisin, plum, candied apple and fresh biscuits. To successfully sustain the fermentation process for such a high gravity beer, a precise blending of fresh wort and three different yeast strains was infused with the fermenting beer at intervals around the clock for the first 14 days of production. In ingredients alone, the cost to produce this beer is an astounding $1,000/barrel, an amount more than 10 times that of our standard offerings! We can only afford to bring this labor of love to you in small quantities, once per year, and its available today for sipping with your best of friends and family in our tasting room at Sugar Creek Brewing Company.

With a recipe that dates back to the 14th Century, this is one of our most traditional craft beers. Our interpretation was inspired directly by Pierre Celis and his original efforts to resurrect this beloved style. This beer is an unfiltered Witbier or “White Beer” to the Flemish-speaking Belgians because of its opaque, white appearance. It measures 4.9% ABV and is a wonderfully refreshing, easy drinking beer enjoyed throughout the year. Its grain bill includes nearly 50% unmalted wheat and oats while it is very lightly spiced with Coriander, Orange Peel, and a touch of other unique flavors. The yeast in this recipe was cultured from the original strain near the town of Hoegaarden in Belgium and adds a pleasant fruitiness during fermentation. Enjoy this beer with or without an orange slice. Although the beer connoisseur might frown at you, we won’t judge you if you ask for one.
