Wicked Weed

Astronomical is an IPA, expressing fruit character with extremely low bitterness. Crisp layered citrus in this beer leads into a tropical mid palate and finishes with fresh juicy orange and dried orange zest notes. Soft carbonation lends to a silky, creamy body that leaves the palate clean. This beer, for us, is the vision of where we think IPAs could go, at least through the Wicked Weed lens.

Passionfruit Lychee Burst is a 4.5 “session sour” ale that has been “loaded” with both lychee and passionfruit. The new sour is the first release in Wicked Weed’s new Burst Series, which will be made up of low ABV sour ales brewed with different kinds of fruit.

This ale is made in the Belgian tradition with Noble hops and our Belgian yeast giving this blonde golden colored ale a wonderfully complex spicy clove like aroma and subtle dried apricot, and biscuit like flavor. This beer is a wonderful entry level Belgian beer for anyone unsure of Belgian styles.

Hoppy Pale Ale Napoleon Complex is a small-statured pale ale with a larger-than-life attitude. Ignoring the industry standard of diminutive hop presence and mild manner, this pale ale will have most IPA’s contemplating their inadequacy. Little beer, big flavor, even bigger ego.

This ale pays homage to the iconic whiskey cocktail. We brewed this 9% ale with sweet cherries and orange zest then aged it in Whiskey barrels for 4 months to capture the essence of an Old Fashioned. Rich bourbon and soft cherry notes roll into a warming finish in this fantastic ale.

The next in our Gose series is Pacificmost. Featuring a massive amount of mango and guava, this slightly tart and slightly salty Gose may be just the cure for what all the cool kids are calling "The dog days of summer."

Pernicious is our flagship India Pale Ale boasting a silver medal at this year’s Great American Beer Festival. This massively dry-hopped ale has minimum malt complexity and a combination of juicy, tropical fruit-forward hops with heavy resinous American hops. Pernicious is the epitome of a West Coast IPA, made right here in the Southeast.

Recurrant begins as a deep amber sour ale and is blended onto copious amounts of black currants. It is then laid to rest in 500L cabernet puncheon barrels. The larger, red wine barrels lend a delicate complexity to the final blend.

2015 Canvas Series. Silencio is a sour black ale artfully aged in Kentucky Bourbon Barrels. The addition of Madagascar Vanilla Beans and El Silencio Coffee from local Mountain Air Roasting culminates in a complex and elevated sour ale.
