Berliner WeisseBayerischer Bahnhof
Leipzig, Germany
Sour Ale
3% ABV
Huguenots may have originated the style as they traveled through France to Flanders, having first mentioned it in the 1600s. During their time, there were said to be seven hundred weissbier breweries in Berlin. Later, in 1809, Napoleon and his troops identified Berliner Weisse as the Champagne of the North. He requested the beer be served w/syrup to cut its extreme level of acidity. Bayrischer Bahnhof’s interpretation is a slightly softer, more mellow version of the “Berliner Weisse” style with a beautiful balance of tartness, fruitness, and sweetness.

This american IPA is designed to create a harmonious blend of hop flavors, aromas, and a refreshing bitterness. You will find a blend of tropical fruit, berries, and a touch of pine for balance. The malt bill has just enough complexity to complement the hops. The finish is dry despite the silky mouthfeel.

Also sold as Blanche de Quenast in Dia/Ed supermarkets, as Floreffe Wit for Floreffe Abbey, as Mediterranea for the Italian market, as Blanche de Francorchamps, as t Geheim van de Smit, as Manneken Pis, and as L’Alsacienne Blanche de l’Eté. Ingredients: Malted barley; wheat (40%); coriander; bitter orange peel; sugar; hops; yeast. Blanche de Bruxelles owes its natural cloudiness to the large percentage (40 %) of wheat that goes into its composition. The natural spice aromas of coriander and bitter orange peels are added during the brewing process. The brewing method, which includes infusion, is very slow. The beer, which is not filtered, is bottled and refermented with yeast and brewing sugar. You need only take a sip of this delicious drink to appreciate the fresh and mellow flavour with its hint of orange. It is really not like any other beer. Always served chiled, between 3°C and 6°C.

Unique in taste. The secret lies in the water, which is still taken from the same well used well over 100 years ago. The water from our well is unusually pure and soft. That allows us to add a touch more hops to create the Friesian-bitter taste that distinguishes Jever Pilsner from any other beer.

For pure refreshment think Bitburger Drive. The alcohol is carefully removed, but only once the beer has fully matured so it locks in the famous Bitburger taste. And at the same time it reduces the calories. The full fermentation process means that Bitburger Drive can be tapped straight from the keg, unlike most other beers. And because it is fully fermented, there’s no need for it to be pasteurized, so it tastes even fresher.

Aragon 1904Blue Bee Cider
Richmond, VA
8.6% ABV
Blue Bee Cider produces its ciders in a turn-of-the-20th-century coffee warehouse along the James River in Richmond’s Old Manchester district. The first records of the Aragon Coffee building are dated 1904, a time when coffee was often traded for tobacco down the river to the Atlantic Ocean and beyond. Blue Bee Cider makes ARAGON 1904 from a blend of modern and heirloom apple varieties to create a light, crisp, off-dry cider. It pairs well with many dishes making it suitable for special occasions, barbecues, or just by itself on a hot summer day.

In contrast to all the others, the Orval Trappist brewery makes only one beer for the general public. It has an intensely aromatic and dry character. Between the first and second fermentations there is also an additional dry-hopping process. Through this the beer acquires its pronounced hoppy aroma and extra dry taste.
