Mandarina Experimental IPA
The Virginia Beer Company
IPA – 7.7% ABV – 65 IBU
A soft + juicy India Pale Ale single-hopped with SIXTEEN LBS. of Mandarina hops. To quote YCH: "Bred at the Hop Research Institute in Hüll, Mandarina Bavaria displays pleasant fruitiness in finished beers." These hops complement the yeast strain used in our small batch Experimental IPA series, blending a touch of sweet vanilla to a well balanced and clean-finishing hop bomb. This recipe was also written with Pilsner Malt as a dominant part of the grain bill; expect a pleasantly crisp and aromatic take on a traditional India Pale Ale chock full of Bavarian hops, suitable to use for a VBC-style toast to the German brewers of yore as we enter the Oktoberfest season. Zum wohl!
