Judged the best American-style wheat beer in the country at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado in 2010. Our new end-of-summer ale served unfiltered is the perfect way to send off the dry, hot summer of 2010. American wheat beers have all the body and crispness of their forbears - The German weisse beers - with a more subdued yeast character that lacks the banana and clove flavors of their Bavarian counterparts. Basically, they are drinkable as all get-out. Pilsener, Vienna and Wheat malts are balanced with German Hallertau hops and fermented with a neutral top-fermenting yeast.
