Grisette
Steam Bell Beer Works
Ale – 5.4% ABV – 18 IBU
In old world Belgium, the saison was the beer for the farmers, while the grisette was the beer of the miners. As the story goes, young women known as Grisettes (gris is French for gray, the color of the stone mined in the area) would stand outside outside of the mines at the end of the day with trays of grisette beer for the miners. Steam Bell Beer Works’ attempt at reviving this tradition produced a Grisette that is a light and crisp with hints of spice and pepper. Historically a session beer, the ABV is approximately 5.4% with 18 IBUs. Steam Bell Beer Works’ Grisette is the perfect brew for unwinding after a long hard day.
