Belgian
6.2% ABV
Brainless® Belgian just got corrupted with hops! Brainless®: Corruption is our second collaboration beer with DC Brau (the first was Fermentation w/o Representation). DC Brau and Epic, both honored with invitations to SAVOR(SM), will be serving this beer in Washington DC as a celebratory beverage during the craft beer and food event in June. We brewed our award winning Brainless® Belgian Golden Ale and let DC Brau corrupt it with four types of hops, including the fruity Citra in the dry hop. Brainless®: Corruption starts out with a wonderful aroma of pineapple, hops and tart fruit. On first sip you taste that familiar cotton-candy and bubble gum sweetness of Brainless® that quickly gives way to a hoppy storm of tropical fruit and tart citrus that lingers on the tongue. Note: the only way to identify this beer is near the ABV marking where is says Corruption.

Lil' Brainless RaspberriesEpic
Salt Lake City, UT
Fruit
5.2% ABV
One of the things that separates this beer (Lil' B'Razz as it's been nicknamed) from many other raspberry ales is the yeast. Like all of the other Brainless beers, it has that rich, estery and spicy, Belgian yeast funk backing it up. The raspberry is subtle and tart with some dry and puckering tannin notes. You get some floral bitterness on the back of the tongue. With a finish that is semi tart and dry. The ABV is a pleasant 5.2%
Mid Mountain MildEpic

This nostalgic porter evokes memories of chocolate and coffee around a campfire. The cherry wood smoked malt used in this beer gives it a heavy smokiness that blends smoothly into the chocolate malty body. With a silky finish this porter is ideal for sipping on a cold winters eve.
Smoked and OakedEpic
Salt Lake City, UT
Smoked
Smoked cherry wood malt brings a smoky sweetness to the caramel malts and a bit of peat flavor with a Belgian-style yeast. The entire batch aging in the whiskey barrels nicely dries out the perceived sweetness of the caramel malt leaving an almost scotch like taste.

Sour Brainless PeachesEpic
Salt Lake City, UT
Sour Ale
7.3% ABV
The intense and complex sour character of this beer is developed in oak Foeders containing select cultures of Lactobacillus, Pidiococcus and wild yeast. The process is slow and delicate, regularly taking a year or more. Once our brewers have decided it’s ready, we blend the soured beer into hand-selected oak barrels with fresh peach puree, where it undergoes additional sour fermentation and aging.

Spiral JettyEpic
Salt Lake City, UT
IPA
6.6% ABV
Spiral Jetty India Pale Ale is the launching point in our series of hoppy IPA brews. Spiral Jetty IPA has an aggressive hop profile (five different hops used here with two in the dry hop) presenting citrus, floral, resinous or pine aromas and flavors typical of American hops and a nice pleasant, cleansing bitterness on the finish. The dominance of the hops helps to balance the complex malt flavors and the higher alcohol content. Spiral Jetty is our strongest Classic Series ale at 6.6% alcohol by volume, but certainly not our strongest beer.
Straight Up SaisonEpic
Salt Lake City, UT
Saison
Brewed with barley, oats and wheat, this hazy yellow offering’s silky texture is offset by its high level of carbonation. More spice complexity and malt sweetness refresh the tongue as the wheat and yeast work together to finish dry and slightly sour.
Tart n' Juicy Sour IPAEpic
Salt Lake City, UT
IPA
4.5% ABV
Tart ‘n Juicy is a 4.5%, fresh, kettle soured, India Pale Ale with bright notes of grapefruit, agave, tangerine and passion fruit. Normally “sour” and “India Pale Ale” would be contradictory terms because the flavor combinations can be tough to bring together in just the right way. Traditionally, sours are aged for a very long time, whereas hops should be enjoyed as fresh as possible. Plus there’s the fact that sour producing bacteria, like Lactobacillus and Pediococcus, don’t usually thrive in hoppy environments due to the hops’ natural antimicrobial properties. What does all this mean? Just that Tart n’ Juicy was a challenge to create and the beer is probably like nothing you’ve ever tasted before. In order to harmonize the flavors in the beer, Epic’s team had to turn its attention to beer souring bacteria.
Utah SageEpic
Salt Lake City, UT
