Laughing Dog

This is a Classic American Pilsner brewed for Sandpoint’s 219 Lounge. The aroma is grainy with some corn, color is light straw with brilliant clarity. Light malt notes are balanced with a very subtle Willamette hop presence.

A True Hop Bomb Brewed plenty of Columbus and Mt Hood Hops for a Piney hop character. Premium Pale, Honey and Munich Malt make this beer a little less malty but packing plenty of hop punch.

A complex Imperial Coffee Porter made with Evans Brothers cold-pressed coffee. Subtle chocolate, and coffee notes are balanced by black malt bitterness and malt sweetness. Available year-round in 22oz.

CSB – How dogs say hello. When Ben the laughing dog was much younger, he developed a habit of sticking his nose in people’s crotches to check them out and say Hello. One of his favorite people to do this to coined the term CSB (or, “Crotch Sniffing Bastard”) and so the seed was planted for the name of this beer. A British style ESB with an Laughing Dog twist, it is crisp but malty and at the same time somewhat playful, it is a great beer to have while out sniffing around, or if you are stuck at home on the short leash for maybe sniffing in the wrong places.

Cold Nose Winter Ale, An American twist on the Old ale Style of beer. We brew this beer with plenty of malt and hops then dry hop for that American style winter brew, this is the beer to warm you up after working or playing outside and perhaps getting your Nose cold.

This is a traditional Cream Ale fermented with both ale and lager yeasts. Brilliant clarity with a malt aroma and a soft, malty sweetness.

Brewed for Laughing Dog Brewing's 8th Anniversary, De Achtste Hond (the 8th Dog) is a Belgian Sour Ale. It's our very first sour ale, aged for one month in oak. It's crisp and dry with a tartness to it.

An all out assault on the senses. Devil Dog is an Imperial IPA with a floral / citrus hop aroma and flavor. This beer ages well and will take on some barley wine characteristics with time.

Bottled since 2006, Dogzilla takes a traditional I.P.A. and adds a black malt twist. Simcoe, Mt. Hood and Cascade hops weave complex hop aroma and flavor with a munich and black malt backbone.

Our award winning Fresh Hop Pale is brewed once a year after hop harvest. The addition of freshly harvested hops impart a grassy hop aroma and flavor. We brew only 60 barrels per year.

We begin with slight variations on our traditional Cream Ale recipe. Real huckleberries are added during the last minutes of the boil to lend a subtle berry aroma and flavor.

Our I.P.A. is a result of our profound love of hops and big, bold brews. A combination of Cluster, Cascade, Citra and Simcoe hops create a piney, citrus aroma and flavor.

We brew our Pale Ale “Big, Bold and Hoppy” with plenty of Cascade hops lending a floral / citrus aroma and flavor complimented with a balanced malt backbone.

The first in our Purebred series of single hop A.P.A.s showcases the hop variety Citra. These are used for everything from bittering and flavor to aroma. The soft bitterness of the Citra hop makes this an extremely drinkable beer.

Cascade, Cluster and Simcoe hops marry perfectly with rye malt to create this unique and crisp Rye I.P.A. “Rocket Dog to save the day!” This is the local’s tap room favorite.

Sneaky Pete is a blend of five hop types: Simcoe, Glacier, Centennial, Vanguard and Hallertuaer, with Simcoe playing the dominate role at 30%. In addition, three separate malts were used: Honey Malt, Rye Malt, and Munich Malt. The brew has a copious aroma of white grapefruit, citrus overtones, a complex rich middle and long flavors in the finish; a real beauty. Finished with wild clover honey.

This year’s Dogfather Imperial Stout will all be aged in charred bourbon barrels. Seven malt varieties and subtle hop additions give it a complex flavor profile.

I got a brew you can’t refuse. The Dogfather is one of the biggest brew we have ever made, weighing in a 10.85% alcohol. 7 malts and 4 hops give it a complex flavor profile. Over 11 month in the making some of the DogFather has been barrel aged. This is a very limited release with only 40 keg equivalents in draft and only 300 case made
