Yet it lingers and beckons… Our take on a Belgian Tripel. Light, semi-dry with floral notes and a hint of Belgian spice. Easy drinking and approachable, but with enough interesting qualities to make it an Adroit Theory beer.

Aged in Aquavit barrels. Earthiness, dry finish with notes of fennel.

The world trembles with the beat: the marching steps of mechanical sheep in plastic stalls. Where are they going, and who is holding the remote control? Resentment simmers, revolution boils, and the rage is just waiting to explode. A Siberian bitterness and a tropical Citra heat create anarchy in a glass, a rabble-rousing brew that refuses to be mastered. This Molotov Cocktail demands a response, hinting at ashes and ruin as we stare down the commercial/industrial monster. Join the protest. Craft the revolution.

It stalks in the darkness, and it hides in plain sight. It creeps with great stealth, and boldly confronts. It’s there, then it’s not… hints of an approaching evil. Insatiable greed, unquenchable thirst, inexhaustible cunning, relentless hunger. You can’t kill it, you can’t hide from it. You could run, but are you running away from it, or right into its jaws? It betrays, devours, violates, consumes. The only sure trace of its presence is the carnage it leaves behind. Is it behind me? Beside me? Right in front of me? Or is it in me? Harbinger is the perfect conclusion to our Trifecta of beers that stems from famous murders. Thematically, it pictures the aftermath of Cannibalism or The Devil Made Me. Stylistically, it is the bitterest and reddest of the three, a robust Imperial Amber Ale.

We see the Ram as the primordial purging of Evil. Life feeds voraciously on the silence of the dead… Full bodied malt backbone, wheat based sweetness. Hints of Caramel. Bittering holds up to sweetness and supports from the back.

In the shifting tides of economic warfare, we establish the contacts, muster the troops, draw up the plans and charge into battle, Monday to Friday, Nine to Five, never quite certain whether our maneuvers are offensive or defensive. Then there are the chiefs, the HR staff, with their finger on the button, ever-ready to drop the termination notice: Death From Above. For this series of beers, our Soldiers of Fortune were three different brewers who were invited to each put their own interpretation on a classic recipe. The mercenary brewer for Death From Above is S.A. (Special Agent) Karrick, of Madhorse Brewery. He crafted this Imperial Brown Ale using traditional British hops and malts, and in doing so he showed that you can always improve upon a classic!

For this series of beers, our Soldiers of Fortune were three different brewers who were invited to each put their own interpretation on a classic recipe. The mercenary brewer for Extreme Prejudice is S.A. (Special Agent) Stiles, of Mudhound Brewery. He redesigned this Imperial Brown Ale using British, Canadian and American malts, along with French and German floral hops. S.A. Stiles calls it “NATO in a Glass!” The immediate sweetness of the malt-forward brewing combines with a slight roastiness, followed by a strong bite of hoppiness. Lingering after the swallow are the gentle tones of caramel and dried fruit.

Be mesmerized as you pour it over the sugar cube on your absinthe knife, and watch it foam and change colors. During Medieval times, “The Shadow of the Sun” was how European Alchemists defined the Crow. It was their symbol for the blackness of despair and chaos. We see the Crow as a Life Force so powerful it can actually live off Death itself. After all, it's not Death if you refuse it… Slightly sweet with spicy notes. Resinous bittering from generous hopping.

Semi-cloying sweetness smoothed out by the barrel aging. Oak & vanilla leave you enjoying the beer even after you swallowed, encourages you to have another sip.

Fire and Brimstone – the fitting destination at the end of a terrible path. The faces: Gacy, Manson, Dahmer… Why do they do it? Where does the evil come from? Are they products of their environment, or is there a darker force at work? Many questions, but few answers. Fill your glass, and brood on the wickedness latent in the human heart. Then raise the glass in a toast to judgment and justice. Just don’t look them in the eyes, for you might see yourself. The main flavors of this robust Porter are designed to evoke fire and brimstone, the traditional depiction of a hellish afterlife. The heat comes from the Serrano peppers on which we age the brew, giving it a definite – though not overbearing – spice. The smokey flavor comes from using smoked malt in the brewing process.
