Malt: Pilsner, CaraPils Hops: Idaho 7 Flavor Complex aromas of melon, pine, green grass, and citrus rind mingle in this crystal clear, blonde ale. Flavors of mango and cantaloupe mix with a touch of malty sweetness, followed by a pleasantly bitter, crisp finish that rounds out this hoppy brew.

Altbier is the pride of Dusseldorf, Germany. ‘Alt’ – which means ‘old’ in German – is a reference to this beer style’s use of ale yeast. Before lager strains and styles consumed German brewing in the 1800s, ale yeast was traditionally employed in all brewing.

Truly a worldly beer, Baltic Thunder represents the Baltic Porter style admirably. Exhibiting the enticing, toffee roast of the British porter that originated the style in the 18th Century, and the soothing, subtle fruit nuance of contemporary brews that flourish from Helsinki to Vilnius today, this dark lager honors the Baltic god of thunder. Created by an inspired collaboration of brewers and tempered with a touch of turmoil, Baltic Thunder rolls on to bring you enchanting light as the darkness fades. The Baltic porter style was very rare when Tom Baker started brewing Perkuno’s Hammer in the late ‘90s in New Jersey. Tom’s brewery did not survive but his inspired beer did, as he was willing to collaborate with us on this recipe. Some proceeds from each sale of Baltic Thunder go back to Tom, of course.

Pale in color with a noticeable haze, this Berliner Weisse pours with fluffy white foam. Malt aromas combine with woody, spicy, and vanilla notes. Tart and sour flavors balance well with a floral, mildly sweet finish. This is Frische Weisse with elderflowers.

Light and fresh. Full aroma of herbs, citrus fruit and spice. Mouthfeel is supple and refreshing. Cleansing hop finish.

We’re excited to announce we’ll be bringing back the Blackboard Series for 2017! First up for the year is Blackboard #5 – Cream Ale With Cold Brew Coffee. Fragrant coffee aromas surface from this smooth cream ale. Cold-Brewed coffee adds rich, roasty notes to this medium-bodied and effervescent brew.

Wildly assertive, intentionally untamed and dangerously satisfying, DirtWolf Double IPA is the culmination of Victory’s double IPA series experiment with whole flower American-grown hops. With two-row German malts and a well-balanced combination of whole flower Citra, Chinook, Simcoe and Mosaic hops, this 8.7% abv brew blends the powerful citrus aroma and fruity flavors, with the piney, earthy and mildly floral characteristics found in these intriguing hop varieties. Replacing Victory’s Hop Wallop® Ale, which will take a hiatus from the market for the time being, DirtWolf Double IPA will launch the brewery’s entry into four-packs when it begins to hit markets in October

The pure water we receive from the East Branch of the Brandywine Creek that begins its journey to us just under 14 miles from where we brew with it. We’ll be celebrating this water (insert your lite beer joke here) with our anniversary beer, Headwaters Pale Ale, due to be released February 15, 2011. Now, considering that beer is the product of four simple ingredients and the three other than water rely on water for their existence, we’ve had a fair amount of latitude in paying homage to water in our beer. So, we’ve played all of our cards deftly, bringing the hops, malt and yeast in harmony, with our great local water as the conductor in Headwaters Pale Ale.

(Re) Introducing Helios Ale. We’ve rebranded the former V-Saison and now introduce Helios Ale. This bottle-conditioned, Belgian-inspired ale remains the same refreshing ale that you enjoyed as V-Saison, however, in a more approachable, less expensive 22 oz capped bottle. Helios Ale has an earthy, aromatic hop start and shifts into aspects of lemon peel and black pepper. This is a quenching, invigorating ale, despite its substantial strength. This style was developed to refresh farm workers during harvest season in its native Belgium. Though such high alcohol is surprising to imagine as suitable for ‘refreshment,’ it does seem to fit the Belgian philosophy on enjoyment of their beloved beer.

To our hop ranchers, who coax and cultivate our enticing and flavorful hops, we raise this glass. Selecting the finest varieties in their natural, whole flower form, we craft our Hop Ranch Imperial India Pale Ale, as a celebration of their successes. Horace ‘Hop’ Wallop headed West a broken man. For in the City of Blues a Miss LuLu Belle Lager had left him thirsting for more. Drawn by wild tales of riches to be had in the gold mines, Hop pressed on westward. His last nickel spent on a prospecting pan, Hop’s hunger got the best of him. Two fistfuls of barley and three of some wild and wayward hops tossed in a pan with some clear water was to be his meal. But sleep overcame him and he later awoke to a bubbling, cacophonous concoction. Overjoyed with the beautiful ale that he had made, Hop realized the secret of the green gold that he had discovered in those fresh hops. Celebrated far and wide, Hop Wallop lives on in this vivid ale with his words, “hoppiness is happiness.”

An homage to the historical and cultural significance of the great beer-loving city of Philadelphia, Liberty Bell Ringer Double IPA packs a punch worthy of the Italian Stallion himself and was created to celebrate the 2013 Philly Beer Week. Made with German malt, and hopped and dry-hopped with the new Mosaic and experimental hop #483, the name rings of local tradition but this powerful brew is a true product of the Yakima Valley hop breeding program. Don’t be fooled by its pale golden color, our incredibly flavorful Liberty Bell Ringer Double IPA is no featherweight. A bracing yet fruity hop aroma hits the nose with all the power of a knockout, and the dry, sweet maltiness you’ll taste up front, is tempered by a powerful and complex combo of hop flavors, with just the right amount of bitterness on its finish. Rich and smooth with hints of mango, apricot, pineapple and pine, you may end up seeing stars after a few of these great tasting and very enticing brews.

Moving Parts is an IPA series, celebrating the natural, simple, delicious and fundamental ingredients in beer. With a new batch number released every four months, Victory’s brewmasters will tweak different ingredients within the same recipe to create an endless array of possible flavor profiles. For the first in the series, MP01, Victory blended whole-flower hops from the U.S., U.K. and Germany, with German malts. The result is a well-balanced IPA featuring citrus and piney notes. At 7.2% ABV, it is extremely drinkable.

A pleasantly sharp sweetness from the crystal malt precedes herbal notes of cedar and green tea. The bright hop flavors in this light copper ale are distinctly English to start, finishing with lingering aromas of earthy hops.

Malt beverage aged in Oak Bourbon Barrels. The spirit of St. Otto of Bamberg inspired us to create a smoky, Belgian-style dubbel ale featuring the beechwood kilned malts of his home. As we feasted on the deep, exotic flavors within our creation, the German bischop’s siren song once again tempted us. The whispers of St. Otto’s ghost, combined with our enjoyment of that ale, lured us to go a step further and age our Otto Ale in once- used bourbon barrels. What has emerged certainly tastes heaven-sent to us!

Prima! It’s a German exclamation of joy. It’s a recognition of accomplishment. It’s what escaped from our lips the first time we sampled this mighty pilsner recipe. With heaps of whole flower European hops and fine German malts, we achieved the bracing herbal bite and smooth malt flavor that we sought. Prima… an exclamation of Victory! Prost!

Hoppiness is happiness. If you’ve tried any of our Ranch Double IPA brews, we think you’ll agree. We’ve got a number of hop-tastic beers in our portfolio, and now we’re playing around with another hop-heavy recipe. With Ranch Double IPA, we’re differentiating from other hoppy beers we make (and the standard double IPAs other breweries make) by focusing on hop aroma over hop bitterness and by changing up the hop varieties being used.

Victory Brewing Company is known for melding traditional styles and unique concepts to produce the highest quality, full flavored beers. Red Thunder does just that. By aging their popular Baltic Thunder in once-used red wine barrels from Wente Vineyards, Victory Brewing Company created Red Thunder. The burnished cocoa creaminess of the Baltic-style porter is accented by the tannic dryness of the wood to produce a rich, fruity final product.

Lush fermentation, flavors of banana and bubblegum emerge from deep, caramel maltiness. Spicy rye and expressive hoppiness form an alliance to rival the malty depth. All of this deftly controlled chaos finishes slightly dry with citrus hop bite extended.

This beer is collaboration between Dogfish Head, Stone Brewing Co. (Escondido, CA) and Victory Brewing Company (Downingtown, PA). The idea for this beer germinated way back in 2003 when the three guys (Sam from Dogfish, Greg from Stone and Bill from Victory) formed the BUFF alliance (Brewers United for Freedom of Flavor) - a noble endeavor with the goal to highlight the passion and camaraderie of the American craft brew movement. So, BUFF didn't really do anything (beyond talk a lot of talk) until 2010 when the three brewers finally got together to jointly brew at beer at the Stone Brewery. Saison du BUFF was first brewed at Stone and then replicated at each of the other two breweries - same recipe, same ingredients, three different breweries throughout 2010. The brewers have a repeat performance planned for 2012! Saison du BUFF is a 6.8% ABV Saison brewed with parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme. The beer is brewed three times, once at each brewery using the same recipe. The expected release dates for each brew are as follows: Dogfish Head - 2014 release Victory Brewing - 2015 release Stone Brewing Co.- 2016 release

This style was designed to help combat the chill of early season beer garden enjoyment. Considered a Maibock (’Mai’ is May in German) in Germany, this lovely style is as fleeting as early spring flowers.

Doppelbock arose from a brewing tradition started by the monks of St. Francis of Paula in 1634. We have put a Franconian (Germany) twist on the style by incorporating malt kilned over beechwood fires from the town of Bamberg for additional depth.

Emerging from the deepest shades of darkness, a rolling crescendo of flavors burst forth from this robust stout. The thundering, hoppy appeal of Storm King subsides into the mellow subtleties of roasted malt, exhibiting an espresso-like depth of character in its finish. An exquisite blend of imported malts and whole flower American hops merge harmoniously in this complex ale. Bavaria’s fabled Ludwig was said to be ‘mad.’ The same might be said of us for approaching this German beer style with fistfuls of hops beyond the norm for this style and yeast from Belgium!

Since his birth in 1997, our beloved Golden Monkey has remained playfully delightful and profoundly satisfying. His soul continues to glow with the wisdom of ages and inspired our own stroke of genius. Restless from his continuous journey to joy, we felt that some quiet time in American oak barrels that once matured white wine would further soothe this ale’s silken soul. After his three-month retreat, Golden Monkey emerged refreshed and invigorated with new character and flavor nuances that only make him more profound, and possibly even more playful.

Bold, spicy, menacingly delicious HopDevil takes on an entirely new dimension when subjected to a wild yeast fermentation. A sharp, sourish edge has been added by this fermentations that plays into the caramel sweet malt deliciously and creates complex interplay with citrus accented hops.

A wheat ale, combining German wheat and barley malts, oats, torrified wheat and whole flower Tettnang and Citra hops, this fruity and warming holiday brew delivers a refreshing finish, with spicy hints of banana, clove and citrus.

The Yakima Valley of eastern Washington State is something of hallowed ground in American craft brewing as most new hop varieties have flourished there along with the solid, traditional varieties. All four hops for this brew have come to us from the Yakima Valley.
