Lost Rhino

Red Lager – 4.5% ABV – 28 IBU

Brewed in the California Common Style, this light amber brew has the unique flavors of a warm fermented lager and a new hop variety. In the 19th century, California brewers were unable to control fermentation temperatures so they were obliged to use their lager yeast at temperatures warmer than customary for traditional lager. We used a new hop variety from the state of Oregon for bittering, flavor and aroma in this beer. Very few brewers have had a chance to try out Meridian. We are excited by the opportunity.
